Texas: 2011 State Damage Prevention Program

This project will address laws and regulations of the damage prevention process.

Public Abstract

ELEMENT 7 - ENFORCEMENT: The Commission's damage prevention staff have developed an enforcement program based on the online report of damage system. All data collected by pipeline operators and excavators is used to develop enforcement cases against the operator or excavator for violation of the underground damage prevention regulations. Funding of this "element" will allow the Commission to dedicate the necessary Information Technology Section (ITS) resources to update the online system to collect additional data to help with the enforcement cases.
